How it Works

Members of our Bouquet Subscription receive weekly flowers during the “session” they choose. They are treated to the first cuts of each crop and more premium blooms than what we offer at farmers’ market. Each bouquet is hand crafted by our farmer florists based on what is in season and most beautiful in the field. Our bouquets are stunning and unique representations of the current moment on our flower farm. We pride ourselves on growing flowers that you can’t find anywhere else. As a bouquet subscription member you get the best of what we grow!

Weekly pick-ups are easy, just swing by grab your bouquet and let us know you picked up by shooting us a text (Tuesday pick-ups), or say hey to us at our market pick-up day (Saturdays).

Congrats on bringing the best local flowers into your home. Pull out your favorite vase and have fun arranging the bouquet to fit the vessel and beautify your space!

New to us?

We're Ellen and Matt, the proud owners of Ellen's Flowers, one of the largest flower farms in Colorado. We started this venture back in 2019 after many years working in conservation, ranching, and veggie farming. We love that we can pursue our passion for conservation on working lands and pollinator habitat preservation in the Mountain West through flower farming!

Pick-up Details

Choose between three different pick-up locations to suit your schedule. Elect to pick up on Tuesdays at Ivywild School from 12-6pm, Tuesdays on Farm in Canon City from 1-4pm or Saturdays at the Old Colorado City Farmers’ Market from 9-12pm. Please remember that we can’t change your pickup location in the middle of a session.

It’s important to note that if you are unable to pick-up your bouquet at your designated location and time period, we will donate your flowers to our pick-up hosts or local charity. If you know that you can’t make it to pick up your flowers, we are happy to have you send a friend or family member in your place. Many members in years past have told us that they loved the opportunity to gift their bouquet to another when they are out of town!

Our bouquet subscription members are investors in our business and we appreciate their trust and confidence. The purchase of a bouquet subscription helps us buy the materials and supplies we need at the beginning of our season to start our seeds and get our fields prepared for planting. As investors, we reward our bouquet subscription members with the best flowers from our fields each week. We cannot wait to bring you a season of beautiful farm fresh flowers!

FAQs

How long will my flowers last?

Our flowers are freshly harvested and handled  to ensure maximum longevity. While exact vase life can vary depending on each flower variety, our customers typically enjoy their bouquets for at least a week.

Is delivery available for bouquet subscriptions?

Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity for delivery at this time. This year we are going to be trialing our shipping option so hopefully by next season that will be available.

What happens if I'm unable to pick up my bouquet on the scheduled day?

If you're unable to pick up your bouquet on the scheduled day they are donated to a local nursing home. We love to make sure that any flowers not picked up at the end of the pick up window make their way to someone who could use a little bit of joy in their day.

Can I customize my bouquet or choose specific flowers?

Due to the nature of our farm-to-vase process, we're unable to offer customization or allow specific flower requests. However, we guarantee that each bouquet will showcase the best of what's blooming on our farm at the time of your subscription. We think this is one of the best parts of our subscription! Each week is different and a true expression of the seasonal beauty of Colorado

Can I send someone else to pick up my bouquet?

You can absolutely send anyone to pick up your bouquet! We have lots of members who send a family member or friend to grab their bouquet if they are out of town or if their day gets too busy to pick up. Whoever you send will just need to mention who they are picking up for.

What kinds of flowers can I expect in my bouquets?

Our bouquets feature a diverse selection of seasonal blooms grown right here on our farm. In general, the flowers in our June and July subscriptions feature flowers that evoke more of a “wildflower” esthetic, from ranunculus, larkspur, sunflowers, queen annes lace, bellflower, and many many more. August and September tend to feature more warm-season varieties like celosia, zinnias, dahlias, and fun textural elements like grasses and pods. Every season is different on our farm, so it is impossible to know exactly what will be blooming at any given time - we love the variation and know that you will too!
